At Hyatt Place Melbourne Caribbean Park, our commitment to care extends beyond our walls. As part of our World of Care mission to support people, the planet, and responsible business practices, we are proud to announce our long-term partnership with Forever Friends Animal Rescue.
This partnership allows us to give back to our local community while championing the welfare of animals in need. One special rescue dog, JoeJoe, has captured our hearts, and we are focusing our efforts on helping him get the surgery he desperately needs to live pain-free and find his forever home.
Meet JoeJoe
JoeJoe is a lovable, playful rescue dog who has been with Forever Friends Animal Rescue for over four years. Despite his cheerful spirit and love for human companionship, JoeJoe lives with daily pain due to a medical condition that requires a $4,500 surgery. Our goal is to raise the funds needed to give JoeJoe a chance at a healthy, happy life – and to help him finally find the loving home he deserves.
How We Are Helping
JoeJoe’s Dedicated Christmas Tree
We’ve created a special Christmas tree for JoeJoe in our hotel lobby. Guests can write heartfelt messages on ornament tags and hang them on the tree while making donations toward JoeJoe’s surgery. Each message symbolizes hope and community support for JoeJoe’s brighter future.
2. Dog Plushie Fundraiser
As part of our fundraising efforts, we are selling adorable dog plushies. These cuddly keepsakes not only make great gifts but also help support JoeJoe’s journey, with all proceeds going towards his surgery.
3. Casual for a Cause Day
Our team is stepping up with a Casual for a Cause Day! Staff members are invited to dress casually for a donation, and all contributions will go directly to JoeJoe’s appeal. This initiative highlights our collective commitment to making a difference for animals in need.
4. Team Volunteering at the Sanctuary
Our team visit the sanctuary at a regular basis to volunteer. From caring for the animals to helping with daily tasks, it was a rewarding experience that reinforced our mission to give back to the local community.
